The Buccal Facial Massage treatment is relatively pain-free and is generally well-tolerated and comfortable. You won’t notice how taut your face, jaw and neck were – until you feel the satisfying release of tension flowing, and embrace the ensuing tranquillity.
The treatment starts with a thorough cleanse. Facial oil is applied and the facial and intra-oral massage begins. Facial acupressure points are employed – and we ensure the pressure is acceptable and adjusted accordingly to your preferences.
Once the massage component is completed, we apply a nourishing, supportive mask customized to the client's skin and facial needs. While the mask is set, the head and neck receive an acupoint massage and a facial roller is used over the mask. We cleanse the mask and finish with additional facial products to hydrate.
As this treatment focuses on releasing trauma and physical tension, you will feel a luxurious, deep relaxation after your session. Your lips will look plumper, your facial lines will be smoothed and your skin will be glowing and feel amazingly rejuvenated. You can immediately notice a more defined and sculpted face with an increase in symmetry.
Depending on your level of muscle tension going into the treatment, your facial muscles may feel a little fatigued, post-treatment. First-time users may feel awkward having a massage of the lips and in the mouth but we are told it is a good therapeutic oddness that quickly passes.
It is important to take things easy and stay well hydrated after a treatment but you can generally resume normal daily activities. On occasion, a client may feel cold-like symptoms such as a headache or slight body aches for a few hours after the treatment – as the body’s natural healing and detoxification process works.
You will see very positive results after your first session of your Buccal Facial Massage.
The results are cumulative, therefore the difference will be much more noticeable after the third or fourth consecutive treatment. We typically recommended a series of 6 to 8 weekly treatments, which are then followed by a maintenance treatment once a month.
This facial is ideal for those under stress who are looking to relax and relieve tension in the lower area of the face, cheeks, jaw and neck.
Buccal Facial Massage can help those wanting a completely renewed look or a lifted or more sculpted face – as it can re-contour the lower face and soften facial expression lines.
It is most impactful for those whose skin is looking swollen, puffy or inflamed, and for anyone wanting to relieve sinus or TMJ discomfort.
Buccal Facial Massage can also ease TMD (temporomandibular disorder) as those inner tissues and muscles are otherwise difficult to effectively access.
